Taste of Spring!

About 2 weeks ago now we got a taste of spring:)  We really enjoyed it. Living in Washington we get A LOT of rain so the sun is very welcomed! Here are a few pictures of our day:)

It was beautiful out that day...hard to believe though because today we woke to snow...but it was so very nice to see the sun if even for a little while!
P.S as you can tell we were babysitting my sister Clarissa's kiddos that day while they brought Abigail to Seattle:)

LaKaysha Elizabeth

LaKaysha's birth story:) On Feb. 10th  I was 2 days past my due date and getting anxious.(With my first I went 12 days late and needed to be induced.) My Dr. had scheduled for me to be induced for 9 days late. I was dialated to 3cm and soft. The Dr. decided to stretch my cervix to see if it would help put me into labor. After the Dr appt. I went shopping with my mom and sisters. I remember feeling kinda crampy while we walked around. Later that day We went to my Mom and Dads and I went on a walk with my mom and SIL Kristi. I felt crampy then too. During the night (Feb. 11th) I woke and 2:45am with a contraction. They continued through the night about every hr or so. When Leon was leaving for work at around 8am I told him I thought I might be in labor.(He went into work for part of the day). I began losing my mucus plug and contractions went to 20 minutes apart. Leon came home and we spent the rest of the day up at my moms. The contractions slowly went from 20 min. to 10 minutes then to 7 minutes by around 6:30pm. They were pretty mild contractions all day. Nothing very painful. Suddenly at around 9pm my contractions hopped to 4 minutes apart and starting becoming painful. We left for the hospital then ,leaving our oldest Felicity with my mom. We got to the hospital at 9:30pm and they hooked me up to monitors and timed the contractions. At 10:30 the nurse decided I wasn't  in labor and could just head home. (contractions were 2 minutes apart and lasting about 40seconds.) I guess cause I wasn't screaming in pain she thought it wasn't the real deal:) I told her they hurt and I was scared to go home so she said she would save the room and told me to go walk for a hour and come back. While we were walking the contractions became very painful and I could hardly walk. We headed back to the room after 50 minutes. By the time we got into the room I felt like I was going to throw up and the pain was coming pretty steady. Leon pushed for the nurse and she came in and checked me and said  I was dialated to 9.5cm. within a few minutes I began pushing (I wasn't even admitted into the hospital yet,and they didn't have my records or anything) the Dr. arrived in time to break my water and deliver a precious little girl! (I pushed for 15 minutes.) LaKaysha was born at 12:15am on Feb. 12th  (on her Great Aunts birthday)and weighed 6 lbs 15oz. and was 19 3/4 inches long. She had blue eyes and dark blond hair. She was beautiful!!
